We not only wanted to be a resource for the youth between ages 8-10, but it also needed to reach educators who would contact Eric to perform the play. Project Details After interviewing Eric about the goals of the site, expectations, feel, and audience, I started my research with family theater websites and kid game websites, like pbskids.org. I created Alicia, to help focus Eric and I on the content and design of the website. I sent out surveys to community center programmers to learn more about what they looked for in planning events, methods they used, and websites they visited for inspiration. This knowledge helped refine our personas and our design. This site was going to be a resource for the audience to learn about nutrition and developing healthier eating habits. Project Details Alicia, our persona, was able to help me create the sketches and wireframes for the responsive site. The competitive analysis was helpful in finding possible color palettes, font combinations, and tone of voice for the website. The styles were collected in Style Tiles to start the conversation on the feel of the website. Since the site was going to be responsive, I started with the mobile view to organize the most important content. After sketching out possible page layouts and workflow, I turned the wireframes into an interactive prototype with InVision. Eric and I started sharing the prototype to collect feedback.
